Reese Witherspoon tailored chic for ‘You’re Cordially Invited’ Screening

Reese Witherspoon graced the London Palladium on Thursday for the special screening of You’re Cordially Invited, alongside her co-star Will Ferrell. While Reese is known for favouring her signature fitted silhouette, this time she went in a different direction with a chic and polished look by Dolce & Gabbana.

Her single-breasted wool jacket paired with a corset-style bodysuit and a midi pencil skirt felt like a power move—sleek, professional, and entirely business-chic. The structured tailoring brought a commanding presence, offering a refreshing break from the typical rom-com red carpet aesthetic of flowy dresses and whimsical embellishments.

Given the film’s playful premise—a woman planning her sister’s ideal wedding and discovering double-booked destination nuptials alongside the bride-to-be’s father—you might have expected Reese to embrace something more thematically on-the-nose. Thankfully, she resisted the urge to lean into wedding tropes, leaving the towering wedding cake on the red carpet to carry that theme.

Reese’s understated elegance made a statement of its own, proving you don’t need lace or floral appliqués to own a rom-com red carpet. While the look was undeniably business-like, it was also quintessential Reese: polished, timeless, and effortlessly put-together.

It’s a reminder that not every comedy premiere requires a playful nod to the plot. Sometimes, all you need is a classic Dolce & Gabbana ensemble to say, “I mean business—but I’m still having fun”
