Sabrina Elba was one of many stylish attendees at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards held in New York City on Oct. 28. She brought a coastal glamour to the event in a knit white dress and slingback pumps. She joins Eva Longoria and other celebrites who are defying the “No white after Labor Day” rule this week.
Elba made an impression with her floor-length knit halter dress which featured a white and gray pattern resembling animal stripes. Looping fringe accented the white sections of the dress, adding textural variation to the outfit. The dress also featured a deep oval-shaped neckline. Elba accessorized with bangles, rings and layered earrings.
Elba matched her dress to a pair of crisp white slingback pumps. The shoes stood out with three short buckled straps on the sides, embellishing the typical slingback design. The upper narrowed in front to a pointy triangular shape while a tall silver stiletto heel gleamed in the back.
Elba’s taste in footwear encompasses a myriad of styles. While she’s known to dress to the nines for a carpet, she also gets sporty with her fashion. In August, she wore a pair of sneakers from a collaboration between Loewe and On. With both philanthropy and modeling among her pursuits, it’s no surprise she and husband Idris Elba team up with Christian Louboutin for the “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” capsule collection, which donates to charities.
