Carrie Bradshaw and Miranda Hobbes are catching up in New York City.
The Max original series “And Just Like That” continues filming Season Three on location in the city. Stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon were spotted in character together on July 2, dressed in outfits that reflect their enduring characters, including bejeweled slingback pumps for Parker and heeled sandals with shells for Nixon.
Dressed as the fashion-loving writer Carrie Bradshaw, Parker wore paint-splattered denim overalls over a lightweight long-sleeve shirt. While the elastic-waist overalls were streaked with hues of green, pink and white, her patterned shirt reflected her New Yorker identity, showcasing the colorful MTA subway maps on the off-white fabric.
The original “Sex and the City” writers made it clear that Carrie is extremely passionate about shoes — there is an episode in which she realizes she could’ve put a down payment on her apartment with the money she spent on luxury footwear. “And Just Like That” continues to demonstrate this passion, with Parker wearing Rene Caovilla’s Crystal Halter Slingback Pumps while filming a scene for Season Three. Retailing for $1,660, the gold-hued, Italian-made shoes feature metallic leather trim as well as a leather outsole and leather lining. The pointed toe is embellished with white and blue crystals, adding sparkle to Parker’s ensemble.
Meanwhile, Nixon’s outfit consisted of a long orange skirt with a slit and a knit collared sweater with colorful stripes. This ensemble was complemented with a pair of leather and suede slingback heels by the brand Etro. The tan shoes featured two straps across the feet, each adorned with gold-colored shells. The shoes also included a block heel.
Parker, Nixon and the rest of their co-stars have been spotted filming around New York City in recent weeks in a myriad of fashion-forward outfits, courtesy of the “And Just Like That” costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago. For example, Parker wore Maison Margiela’s cut out white patent leather pumps with a denim skirt in June, and donned the same outfit on set on July 2.
From her own SJP Collection, Parker recently slipped into a pair of mismatched polka dot heels with opposite black and white designs. On that day in June, she was acting alongside co-star Kristin Davis, who wore red patent leather heeled sandals in character as Charlotte York-Goldenblatt.
