Vogue India has undergone some extensive changes of late. Megha Kapoor exited her role as the magazine’s head of editorial content in August of 2023, with Rochelle Pinto swiftly installed at the top job two months later. The magazine has also cut its frequency, and runs on just five issues annually. For Vogue India’s double May/June 2024 offering, Pinto secures Simone Ashley as cover star. Captured by Rid Burman and styled by Nikhil Mansata, the British actress (who was part of Edward Enninful’s 40 British Vogue cover icons back in March) dials up the glamour in the poised and polished cover shot. Mansata selected an off-the-shoulder candy striped dress from Indian fashion brand House of Masaba for Simone to showcase in the flawless shot.
