With the 2024 Summer Olympics approaching quickly, NBA star Stephen Curry practiced with his Team USA teammates over the weekend. During the USA Basketball training camp, the hooper debuted his latest signature shoe.
Under Armour, the brand that backs his Curry Brand imprint, confirmed with FN via email that Curry was wearing his upcoming Curry 12 signature shoe. The brand also stated Curry will wear these while competing for Team USA, and that a limited North American release is set for August, with a wider global launch slated for the fall.
Curry debuted two colorways of the shoe, both dressed in red, white and blue. One iteration was predominantly white with hits of red and blue throughout, and the other that was featured on the NBA’s Instagram account was mostly blue with red and white accents.
Under Armour did not reveal any technical information about the shoe, however the Curry 12 appears to be a low-cut look with the brand’s acclaimed Flow cushioning technology underfoot. The Curry Brand logo is present on the midsole near the heel and on the tongue. Under Armour also did not reveal the price of the Curry 12.
As fans await the release of the Curry 12, there are pairs of the Curry 11 still available via Underarmour.com. The shoe — which retails for $140 for team colorways and $160 for others — features lightweight and breathable UA IntelliKnit uppers, external 3D-molded TPU heel counters for support, a forefoot Pebax plate for agility with lateral support and an internal midfoot shank for stability. Most notably, the Curry 11 includes dual-density UA Flow cushioning for comfort and durable UA Flow outsoles for improved court feel.
