Supreme has regularly introduced and restocked exclusive versions of the Nike Air Force 1 Low since 2020, and yet another new variant is set to be much harder to acquire.
The New York City-based streetwear brand will release a new version of its AF1 Low exclusively at its recently opened Shanghai store. It’s essentially the same all-white sneaker with a small Box Logo beneath the Swoosh that Supreme has been releasing since 2020, albeit with the Swoosh now appearing in red. Everything else is exactly the same — including the tonal white tongue branding, an additional red Box Logo on the insole and an extra set of laces bearing Supreme’s name — but it’s these sort of small shifts that have long been at the heart of collecting the Air Force 1.
After launching its current series of Air Force 1 Lows in 2020 in all-white and all-black, Supreme has since added variants in “Baroque Brown” and a lighter “Wheat,” both of which continue the monochrome treatment and the latter of which swaps leather for suede. Supreme restocks the sneaker without any notice with a relative degree of consistency, much like it does for other staples such as its Hanes T-shirts and socks.
Nike and Supreme have also released other, more limited versions of the Air Force 1 Low since their first appeared with a canvas upper in 2012. This was also just the second Nike x Supreme collaboration that didn’t involve the latter’s skateboarding division.
The Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Shanghai” will release Saturday, May 18, exclusively at the Supreme Shanghai store. The retail price hasn’t yet been confirmed, but if you’re reading this you’ll likely be turning to the resale market anyway should you choose to pursue the sneaker.
