The time is now! The place is here! Look ahead to 2025 and place your bets as to who Anna Wintour and Co will deem worthy (or buzzy) enough to land on the cover of America’s fading fashion Bible. If you need a reminder, the theme of this year’s Met Gala is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, and Pharrell Williams are celebrity co-chairs, with LeBron James “as an honorary co-chair.” I feel like Anna is going to try to see if she can get Rihanna to make an appearance on this one with A$AP Rocky somehow.

We mostly covered Vogue at Drinks With Broads this year, but should you desire to check your work, it’s probably quickest to look here. I noted last year that Vogue did 10 newsstand covers per year, but 2024 only had 9 (we have a “summer” and a “winter” filling the blanks) and I would suspect 2024 might go to 8. Living through the death of print is weird! On that note: Place your bets and get ready to brag!
As for me, other than Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, I think we might get Nicole Kidman this year (it’s been a while for Nicole), maybe Anna fave Renee Zellweger as the new Bridget Jones is coming out, maybe SJP for the new season of And Just Like That? All of those women feel very 2006 (no offense to them, I also am very 2006) so I perhaps need to think of some younger people, even though I believe that middle aged people are probably the ones still actually buying print mags to read on the plane or whatever. Maybe Sabrina Carpenter? Zendaya…?
