Hundreds of people are believed to have attended, with some queuing since 4am. Police were deployed to manage the large turnout. Portelli expressed his gratitude for the public’s response: “The crowd is incredible and truly shows the community’s need for support… We don’t contact the media; we just show up here.”
Later that same day, the giveaway moved to the Coles on Hamilton Road in Fairfield West. The ongoing cost of living crisis has increased the demand for this kind of economic support, especially with the upcoming Christmas season.
Adrian Portelli’s Net Worth
The Melbourne billionaire has recently rocketed to the number 115 spot on Australia’s top 250 richest. Usually, that list is filled with people over 50 years old, making him one of the youngest. It’s estimated to be a net worth of about $1.3 billion.
One of the things that makes his net worth so robust is the fact that he owns a range of exotic cars. If you take a look through his Instagram or TikTok, you’ll immediately be able to point out that Portelli is a car junkie.
Recently, news spread about his purchase of a McLaren Senna GTR worth $3 million. The car was craned into his $39 million penthouse, which also happens to be Australia’s most expensive apartment. That is pretty amazing on its own, but what’s even crazier is that the car cannot be registered for road use. It just sits in his house as an aesthetic showpiece. You could say he definitely earned the nickname “Mr Lambo”.
Adrian Portelli and The Block
Reality show The Block is about flipping houses and showcases couples competing against each other to renovate houses and then sell on auction to big spenders including serial The Block buyer, Danny Wallis. Premiering in 2003, it has continued to air for 14 years (there was a 6-year break from 2004-2010).
In 2022, the Australian show would see something it had never before – a fierce battle between the biggest buyer in the show’s history, Danny Wallis and newcomer Adrian Portelli. There were 5 houses put out on auction and Adrian was able to get away with 3 of the five. House 1 from Kyle and Leslie worth $3.1 million, House 5 from Eliza and Liberty – where he bid against himself to assert dominance, and the winning house, house 4 from Steph and Gian worth a whopping 5 million dollars. So close to a record buy on the show ($5.586 million).
After spending $12 million publicly, it is only natural that everybody wants to know who you are. His stunt on the show drew a lot of media attention to him, and like the businessman that he is, Adrian used it to shine some light on his business. He decided to give away Steph and Gian’s house on his platform LMCT+. Unfortunately, it was a massive fail with the winners opting for a tax-free $2.5 million cash prize. Ever since the show, his follower base has only increased.
How Did Adrian Portelli Get Rich?
Probably the most asked question about the young billionaire, everybody who comes across his name and achievements for the first time wants to know… How was Adrian Portelli able to amass up to a billion dollars at 35?
Adrian grew up in a humble home somewhere in Melbourne until he was set to go to college, but even at this time, he always dreamt of comfort and luxury. According to him, he ‘woke up every day thinking about it’, so much so that he dropped out of college to join his father’s business – a truck repair store.
His drive for business began to shine through when he would fix up spoilt luxurious cars, and sell them at lower rates. What started as a passion eventually spiralled into a source of income when he asked his roommate to develop an app that would help people find undervalued cars, along with many other successful apps, which he eventually sold off.
Adrian Portelli LMCT+
Nevertheless, his passion for cars remained, causing him to create the organization he is popularly known for, LMCT+, the fastest-growing car community in Australia, grossing over $50 million yearly. Besides this, Adrian is very involved in real estate.
With over 1000+ sellers and 300,000+ customers scattered all over Australia, LMCT+ (Licenced Motor Car Trader) has become the largest community of car enthusiasts in the country. Since its inception in 2018, the club has attracted the ambassadorship of car part dealers like Ultratunes, Beaurepaires etc.
You might ask, how was he able to build such a competitive brand in a short time? Simple (well, not so simple) LMCT+ offers giveaways worth millions of dollars in cars, and thousands of dollars in cash prizes. Who wouldn’t like $600,000 for doing absolutely nothing? No one. With just a $20 – $500 monthly subscription, customers of LMTC+ stand a chance of winning prizes that an average person could probably retire on.
The organization boasts of distributing over 400+ luxurious prices since 2018. Now, we’re not one to state the obvious, but we’re sure you did peek at how LMTC+ makes their side of the dough.
To maximize profit, the organization allows nonsubscribers also to participate in their raffle contests for a fee of usually $5, while also showcasing, but limiting many features they offer, in a bid to entice people into monthly subscriptions. Smart move to reel ’em in without pushing too hard.
Does Adrian Portelli Have A Girlfriend?
It’s a common trend that when people achieve fame and wealth, they tend to shy away from starting a family. Some people do it because they know that being in the spotlight brings the good, the bad, and the ugly types of attention and don’t want to make the wrong move, while others just aren’t ready for the responsibility. Adrian is neither of these people.
For him, family has always been important and is what shaped him into who he is today. Coming from a humble background, he claims to have strived so his wife and children do not have to go through what he went through and says it’s one of his biggest motivations.
He’s always had dreams of his future family, and earlier this year, he started turning those dreams into reality. Mr. Lambo and his longtime girlfriend, Karlie Butler, welcomed a baby boy into the world, and in a recent post on Instagram, he finally gave a hint about the baby’s name. The baby can be seen lying carelessly on an orange Lamborghini worth $700,000 with a custom plate number ‘MERCY’ which we believe to be the baby’s name.
Karlie and Adrian have been dating for over a year now, and not much is known about her since she prefers to keep herself out of the spotlight. We do know though, that she is very private and not materialistic, which is in contrast to Adrian.
This isn’t to say he does spoil his girlfriend with the most ridiculously expensive gifts and goodies. Sometime last year, before the birth of Mercy, the billionaire got the love of his life a brand new white Aston Martin – a car estimated to be at least $350,000, for ‘putting up with him’. He has always given her the best things money can buy because “she deserves it.”
Did Adrian Portelli Break Gambling Laws?
Nothing has been ascertained, but LMCT+ is under investigation in 2 states. According to reports, the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, and South Australia’s Customer and Business Services received reports concerning LMCT+ lottery system, and the organization has been under investigation.
Adrian is unfazed by this as he says he runs a ‘by the law’ organization. He says “I pay six figures every week in tax. I am happy to pay my tax. You can’t be this public and not have everything in order.” He describes the format of his business as a trade promotion, where subscribers get discounts on products and giveaways. Not a gamble.
