Timothée Chalamet joined Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro at the Contenders screening for A Complete Unknown on Saturday, held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
On this occasion, the actor opted for a bespoke suede navy blue officer jacket by Chloé, designed by Creative Director Chemena Kamali. Unlike some of his recent press tour looks, this one didn’t lean into any overt Bob Dylan references—unless you interpret the free-spirited nature of Chloé’s ethos as a subtle nod to Dylan’s essence.
Paired with striped trousers from A Bathing Ape and a gothic typography shirt, the look felt like a restrained exploration of rock-inspired style, but the jacket is undoubtedly the highlight here.
While the trousers and shirt might appear as thrown together for some, they do lend a quiet edge to the outfit. The gothic lettering on the shirt, in particular, adds a hint of a rock-and-roll spirit.
This outfit isn’t about theatrics; it’s about balance, allowing Timothée to step back from the full Dylan homage we’ve seen recently.
