Union LA is ready to bring the energy back to Air Jordan 1 collabs later this month with the third installment of their inimitable design. Combining two OG 1985 colorways of the Air Jordan 1 into one by combining the upper and lower half of the shoes, Chris Gibbs has created a true masterpiece that has gone on to be widely imitated, but not even close to duplicated.
Set to release on February 28th is a new pairing that sees the iconic “Chicago” lower half with the upper half of the “Shadow”, but did you know a fourth version was in the mix? This photo revealed by @shoehefner5 reveals the unmistakable formula forged by Union featuring the UNC colorway on the bottom half and the OG Royal on the upper. Yellow laces add a bit of a playful note, matching the exposed stitching that welds together the two pairs into one.
These do appear to be an unreleased sample, although there will be zero complaints of Jordan Brand and Union decide to drop this fourth pair somewhere down the line.
The LA-based retail/brand imprint is indeed set to make official announcements for their upcoming Union Air Jordan 1 soon, so stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for the latest.
