You’re no doubt fully aware that Victoria Beckham is no stranger to the covers of fashion magazines – especially Vogue. From the get-go, the style icon has fronted just about every edition of Vogue available today – from British Vogue (multiple times) to Vogue Greece and Vogue Korea to guest-editing the holiday issue of Vogue Paris. As a result, it should come as zero surprise to see Mrs. Beckham making a reappearance on Vogue Australia – for a sixth time. A little over two years after her last, Victoria is welcomed by Christine Centenera as the magazine’s August 2024 cover star. The celebrated British designer and entrepreneur (who founded her eponymous fashion label back in 2008) wears a black dress from the Victoria Beckham Fall 2024 collection in the cover shot (selected for the occasion by Centenera), as she poses for photographer Daniel Jackson.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“The styling is just… horrendous. Christine Centenera is really one of the worst in the industry,” declared an unforgiving GivenchyAddict.
“Centenera is not only the worst stylist in the world but she is also the worst editor-in-chief,” caioherrero chimed in.
“The styling is questionable. The dress on the cover is terrible. Centenera is just a name. Nothing substantial to back that up for me,” said forum member Lola701.
“She’s giving me Kim [Kardashian]. I wonder if that’s intentional?” asked Toni Ahlgren.
Cocteau Stone voiced: “I enjoy a little bit of Posh here and there, I just don’t get why she’s on Vogue Australia. I didn’t think we cared THAT much for her to warrant this. And I don’t know what is wrong with their minds, but Aussie stylists are just so out of sync. Either too much or not enough, and yet there’s no signature or intrigue to it. God we can be so bloody boring and forced at times!”
