That is not Anna, obviously; that is Vanessa Williams, who plays Anna — er, I mean, “Miranda Priestley” — in the musical of The Devil Wears Prada, which just launched in the UK and will likely eventually make its way over here. But, just as she did for a charity screening of that movie in 2006, Anna Wintour showed up to the gala launch seemingly in good spirits. I guess if you’re going to be the titular devil, there are worse things than being embodied by Meryl Streep, and now Vanessa freaking Williams?!? A compliment indeed.
