I’m so excited to hear everyone’s take here! I have never seen any of these plays so I rely on the intel of the Broadway-going — and those of you who keep up with theatre gossip, also VERY IMPORTANT TO ME — to weigh in on what’s good, what’s weird, and what’s surprising about this year’s Tony Awards nominations. The Tonys themselves are in June — they fall on Father’s Day, which is weird but also no one asked me — which means the voters have time to go see the shows that all opened in a mad rush last week to meet the deadline. Ariana DeBose will once again do the thing as host.
